European Steel Technology Platform

On 27 April 2023, the Smart Factory Focus Group of the European Steel Technology Platform met in Brussels for the first time since the Corona pandemic. The event was hosted by EUROFER, a trade association of the European iron and steel industry with affiliated universities and research institutes. The question of how the zero CO2 target can be advanced in the European steel industry will be explored.
In the "Smart Factory Focus Group" the topic "Digitalisation of the Steel Industry" will be discussed. Our research assistant Wan Li represented the IAT at this meeting and presented the chair's digitalisation strategy as well as the research in the field of Asset Administration Shell.
